Ring of the Corrupted Heart (Magic Item)

Item Type: Ring, legendary (requires attunement)

The Ring of the Corrupted Heart stands as a poignant testament to the resilience and ingenuity of the Rilmani known as Voridium, who, in the face of the destruction of his own people and the encroachment of an all-consuming corruption he could not defeat or evade, chose to fight back in a uniquely personal way. As he found himself at the brink of both spiritual and physical collapse in an act of desperation and brilliance, he sought to preserve the last vestige of his untainted essence by externalising it into a physical object - a ring.

To use the ring, the owner must be attuned to it. Once attuned, the ring grants immunity to poison and disease, and it absorbs the first 10 points of necrotic damage from any source. In addition, once per long rest, the ring can unleash a wave of purifying energy. This will deal 4d10 radiant damage to any undead or corrupted creatures within a 30-foot radius (no saving throw).
